UNILORIN ISSUES REQUIREMENTS GUIDELINES FOR REOPENING OF HOSTELS

Dear Students,
Following our meeting today with the Student Affairs Team to clarify some grey areas concerning modalities of student’s resumption to the hostel. Below are the “10 must do” students will need to adhere, to ensure a seamless resumption.

All students must complete the online clearance form with the Students Affairs BEFORE proceeding to the hostel.

Students Affairs will in turn provide the list of students whose clearance have been approved to hostels for admittance.

Phase 1 – Comprising mainly of students with outstanding examination. Such students can start moving into the hostel from the 24th of January 2021.

After their exams, they are to vacate the hostel accordingly.

Phase 2 – Comprising of final year students, who can resume to the hostel from the 1st of February 2021.

100L students can also start resuming to the hostel from 14th February 2021.
All other categories of students can resume from the 27th February 2021.
The Student Affairs units have mandated that NO student should allowed to check-in to the hostel after 6pm. Therefore, kindly plan your movement to arrive the hostel before the check-in deadline.

NB: As earlier communicated by the university, all students must come along with at least five (5) pieces reusable nose masks.
Other containment measures communicated by the university authorities are: No forms of gathering or meeting, and no visitor should be entertained in the hostels to prevent incidences of crowding.
Also, our gymnasium – Reshape, which is now ready will remain closed until the lifting of this restriction. Inset is a short video of your gym.
